One of the main features of Eneloop technology is the higher voltage level. Many devices turn off or indicate a low battery level if the voltage drops below 1.1 V. The traditional Ni-MH battery loses tension successively and reaches a critical level very quickly. On the other hand, the eneloop battery will maintain a voltage above 1, 1V for a long time, and below that level only go down before it is fully discharged. This is one of the reasons why you can take much more photos with the eneloop battery.

The Eneloop battery is capable of maintaining a low self-discharge coefficient even at-20 °C. The working time will be shorter than room temperature.
