For microprocessors that do not have an embedded analog-to-digital converter or if you need precision ADCs, then ADS1115 is the ideal solution. It provides precision on 16 bits with 960 samples / second through the I2C interface. The chip can be configured as 4 single-ended or 2 differential channels. This module is the perfect choice because it can operate between 2V and 5V, it can measure a wide range of signals and is very easy to use.
The chip is small and comes with ferrite to reduce noise. Communication is through the I2C interface. The address can be changed with one of the four options (datasheet table 5) so you can connect up to 4 ADS1115 modules to a single I2C bus.
Connecting to Arduino is done according to the following picture:
For starters we have a code example for both Raspberry Pi (Adafruit Pi Python library) and Arduino (ADS1115 Arduino library). Just connect GND to ground, VDD to power and SCL / SDA to microprocessor I2C ports and run the example code.
Diferential foarte bun
Eu am construit un seismometru capabil sa detecteze pasii dintr-o cladire si acest digitizor mi-a fost foarte util. Chiar daca nu masoara decat 15 biti, isi face treaba binisor iar zgomotul pe diferential este foarte mic.
precizie
contra: nu masoara pe 16 biti, masoara pe 15 (32768 pasi) si un bit e pentru diferenta +sau - dar nu e tragedie, presupun ca in soft poate fi modificat sa citeasca de la -32767 - +32767 la 0 -65535
pro: setat pe singleended (adc0) are zgomot si fluctueaza un pic (nu cu mult 10-30 pasi la 0.256mV)
setat pe diferential (A0-A1 0.256mV) wow WOW fluctueaza 0-1 pasi, adica la afisare volti arata cam asa:
